Putting it all in the blender…

I can’t tell you how pumped we are about what God is up to at Lifepoint. This weekend we experienced such a powerful Sunday. In addition to the countless people who are praying for Pastor Jeff, Joe Carr and his team doing missions in Brasil (which they’ve gone dark right now, but get ready to hear all the details when they get back), we have seen God do so much in the hometeam here. This Sunday, Daryl did an awesome job kicking off the first of our “Blend” series all about how God designed us to be in relationships with others, and it’s a GOOD thing! Check out the podcast later.

I love when I’m not leading worship sometimes, because I get to see from a different angle how God is moving in the hearts of people as they worship through songs of praise, and i get to join them out in the audience too (I usually also love to be in the back helping with Multimedia, it’s fun!)- the band was awesome. We had one of our college students back from break on acoustic guitar, Geoff, glad to have him back! I was so proud of one of our vocalists on our worship team, Dave Holt, who led worship this weekend. He led our people in such an energetic, meaningful, and passionate response to God for who He is and what He’s done. It makes it even more exciting because I know this guy, have seen his heart, and he is truly living to serve Jesus- if you don’t know him, start getting to know him!!

You often don’t hear anything about the Tech/Sound Team unless something goes wrong in a service. I think it is safe to say that this was one of the best weekends for the Sound guys- they did a great job at mixing the band- something that Daryl mentioned comes off beautifully when “blended together” just right and it sounded wonderful. Major props to the Multimedia people who were handling the back without their fearless leader, Brad, our Creative Director. All transitions, lights, video, song lyrics were smooth and contributed to an awesome service! I couldn’t have imagined it any better, and I know God was honored through everyone’s willingness to serve.

Leave some props here to our Sound, Multimedia and Band here in the comments section!

And I never get tired of hearing how all our other teams are impacting people- whether it’s walking in and seeing a friendly face, to figuring out where you’re suppposed to go at our Welcome Table, our awesome kids ministries…what you do is important and helping to change lives in the name of Jesus- so keep it up! We are so privileged to serve with all you peeps every weekend. May we never get tired of pointing people to life

We’ve got an exciting weekend coming…an exciting ENTIRE series! You don’t wanna miss a single episode of the BLEND series. This coming Sunday the 28th, our former pastor Matt Fry from the Raleigh area will be coming to speak- a pastor that has had a huge impact in our lives, has encouraged us and equipped us with great leadership training over the years, and who ultimately has a burning passion for hurting people. It is nuts what God is doing in and through Cleveland Community Church…they are growing like crazy and seeing lives changed, the opportunity to build a bigger facility to provide seats for hurting people who need to hear about the love of Jesus, and they have a passion to make God’s name famous. See ya Sunday!

  2. Someone was laughing at the old guy who was dancing at the doorway just before worship began. The old guy was me! There has not been a Sunday since I joined Lifepoint that I have not been moved to tears during worship. And most weeks I can’t keep still or quiet! I wish you all knew how happy I am to be a part of the Body of Christ at Lifepoint and how confident that it is God Who has led Barb and me here. It is a MASSIVE blessing to serve along side of you all. Keep your eyes on Him…He is showing us the way.
